This auction is for 1 Dice Electronics 5V Charging iPod Docking cable for Dice Integration Kits. This 5V cable will allow you to play and charge your iPod through your older Dice iPod Car adapter.
If you have an older Dice Integration kit and have upgraded to a current iPhone or iPod you will find that it is not charging. This 5V cable will upgrade your older Dice kit so it can charge and play both the new 5V and older 12V iPhones & iPods.
The available 5V iPod cable (green round tip) can be used for non-5V DICE kits, developed prior to the release of 5V iPod models. With the FM-RDS, the 5V iPod cable is included. With the 5V iPod cable, 12V charging is still supported.
The 5V cable will allow you to play and charge your older Dice Car iPod Adapter Kits (non 5V charging) with the new iPhones and iPods, such as the 3GS & 3G iPhones, iPod Classic, 2G iTouch, and 4G & 5G Nanos.
Older Dice kits will not charge the 5V charging iPhones & iPods. Upgrade to the new 5V cable and charge your iPhone and iPod while you drive!
New Dice kits will play and charge both 5V and 12V charging iPhones & iPods! But...
The 5V Green plug version in this auction will not charge 5V on the new Dice kits.
Replacement cable for the new Dice kits is the blue plug version, which will charge both 5V and 12V iPhones & iPods.
If you simply want a replacement cable for your older Dice kit and not planning to upgrade to a newer 5V iPod, the blue cable is fine.
